Architect Studio Kim

The term "ASK" meaning both "request" and "question," represents our architectural goals.

Architectural work begins with the needs and requests of someone. These needs might be urban or social requests, personal needs, or sometimes based on humanistic or technical requirements. Regardless of the scale, we strive to find the best solutions to meet these demands. Our work, rooted in someone’s needs, starts by listening to and questioning those elements. Drawing from our experience and expertise accumulated in Germany and Korea, we aim to view these two distinct societies through our perspective, and we engage in various projects to enhance the public and social aspects of cities and architecture.

To provide the best solutions and fulfill our social responsibilities as architects, we seek alternatives to demolishing older buildings, focusing instead on reusing valuable structures. We aim to design spaces that consume less energy rather than focusing on creating visually striking buildings. Furthermore, we embrace digitalization through Building Information Modeling (BIM) to manage the entire lifecycle of urban infrastructure and buildings. Through this, we aim to contribute to the creation of an efficient, sustainable, and eco-friendly architectural ecosystem.

Our goal is to become an architectural community that brings happiness and inspiration through the value of space to individuals and offers continuous and eco-friendly public spaces of value to society.
